Using notes

For each symbol in a diagram or topic in an outline, a note is available. Notes transfer between the two views, retaining their relationship in the transition.
 

Using notes in Diagram View allows you to expand your ideas and begin the writing process while continuing to work in the visual format. Notes on symbols are contained in a yellow note box, which you can open and close by clicking its Quick Control  or Note on the Main toolbar. Notes can be placed anywhere on the diagram.
