The Chat function makes the collaborative capability of WebspirationPRO even more powerful. When multiple users are working on a WebspirationPRO document, they can use Chat to discuss their work while actively editing or viewing the document. Chat can also be used to record comments when working alone, or to keep a historical record of participants in a group meeting setting.
All chat activity for a document is permanently recorded and date- and time-stamped, and all people shared on a document can view the complete record.
To access Chat, click the Chat tab on the Collaboration Panel. When the Collaboration window is closed in a document you have open, if any chat activity has occurred since you last viewed it, you will be notified in one of two ways:
- If the document is visible in the foreground, the Chat button will blink until you click it.
- If the document is in the background (behind another document), its document tab will blink until you click it.
Type your text (up to 200 characters at a time) into the white message entry box at the bottom of the Chat area and press Enter (Windows) or Return (Macintosh). Use the Quick Control in the white message entry box to access Cut, Copy and Paste options.
